Palestinian teen killed in Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian teenager, identified as Ayman Al-Abbasi, 17 years, was martyred after an Israeli soldier shot him in the chest during clashes in Ras Al-Amud neighborhood in Jerusalem city.
Al-Abbasi, who spent one and a half years at an Israeli jail and was released last May, was killed on the spot Sunday night, according to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
This is the second Palestinian fatality today after Bassem Salah, 38, was killed in Nablus; it took to 106 the Palestinian death toll since the start of the current uprising, the statement pointed out.
In a related development, the national forces in the occupied Jerusalem called for observing a day of mourning on Monday and escalating the confrontation against the Israeli occupation forces on all frontlines.
The escalation comes in response to the crimes of the Israeli forces against the Palestinian people, including the policy of murder and the withholding of 41 bodies of Palestinian martyrs since the start of the ongoing uprising, according to a joint statement by the Palestinian forces. (end) nq.gb
