Info. Min.: Spanish cultural activities to further cement bilateral ties

KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah Sunday welcomed the holding of Spanish cultural and artistic activities in Kuwait, which would further cement bilateral relations.
Sheikh Salman, also Chairman of the National Council for Culture, Art and Letters (NCCAL), praised during a meeting with Spanish Ambassador in Kuwait Carlos Saenz de Tejada a photo exhibition, organized by the Arab House in Spain and held at the Americani Cultural Center, of Dar Al-Athar Al-Isamliyyah (DAI).
De Tejada, a ministry statement said, Spain was ready to participate in cultural activities to be held on sidelines of celebrations marking Kuwait as Islamic Cultural Capital in 2016.
Pedro Villena, Director General of the Arab House, said holding the photo exhibition would enable the visitors to get acquainted with the Spanish culture.
He said he was pleased to visit DAI and its Americani Cultural Center. (end) mdm.bs
