WASHINGTON, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- The man suspected of killing at least three people, including one police officer at a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood health clinic, emerged from the building with his hands in the air after several tense hours as authorities surrounded the vicinity on Friday.
Just before noon local time, a call to 911 from inside the clinic reported the sound of several gunshots. In addition to the three fatalities, nine people were also wounded, including four police officers, authorities said.
Planned Parenthood has been the target of protests for decades, and more recently, the target of arson attacks by those against its mandate to provide reproductive health services, promote sexual education, and perform abortions. (end)
