Palestinian shot dead in Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian was shot dead in eastern Jerusalem early on Friday bringing Palestinians' toll of the latest local uprising to 103 since October, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
The Palestinian was shot by a Jewish settler near Kfar Adumim settlement in eastern Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that a lone Palestinian driving a vehicle stampeded two Jewish settlers in Jerusalem. They were injured and the driver was hit with gunfire from a settler.
Palestinian activists have stepped up stab-and-run attacks against Israelis and settlers in a new revolt, widely dubbed as the "uprising of the knives" against the Israeli occupation of Jerusalem and other occupied lands.
The Palestinians say Israel has taken a series of steps to judaize the holy city, desecrate Islamic sanctities and drive Palestinian natives out of their lands and houses.
Israel has occupied Jerusalem since 1967, when Arab armies lost a major war against the Israeli military forces. (end) nq.maa.rk
