KUWAIT, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Adel Al-Roumi, head of the Partnership Technical Bureau (PTB), overseeing private-public sectors partnership (PPP) programs, said Tuesday shares of Al-Zour station would be placed for public subscription in six months.
Once Al-Zour station reaches its maximum operation capacity in six months, said Al-Roumi, shares would be placed for Kuwaitis to buy.
He was speaking to KUNA on sidelines of a conference, themed "Kuwait projects and development motivation," organized by Meed for economic studies.
Al-Roumi said PPP programs would be placed for public subscription for Kuwaiti citizens, including the second Al-Zour station, Al-Khairan and Um Al-Haiman projects.
He said the value of PPP programs in Kuwait was around 10 billion Kuwaiti Dinars (KD).
Al-Roumi said the private sector was contributing to the rapid accomplishment of the PPP projects, citing Al-Zour power station which took 18 months to operate.
He said there were five giant projects awaiting completion. Two are waste recycling, two major power stations and solar energy station. (end) fnk.bs
