Jordanian, Spanish monarchs discuss war against terrorism

MADRID, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- Jordanian King Abdullah II concluded a state visit to Spain Friday during which the two countries discussed how to intensify efforts to confront terrorism and violent extremism.
King Abdullah II and Spanish King Felipe VI discussed how to address terrorism, which represents a threat to international security and stability, a statement by the Royal Court said.
The two leaders discussed means of reaching a political solution for the Syrian conflict, as well as promoting economic collaboration, it said.
King Abdullah, who arrived yesterday, visited the Airbus Defense and Space, specialized in building military transport planes, in the city of Getafe and got acquainted with the aircraft.
King Abdullah also met with Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to discuss the international fight against terrorism, the Syrian crisis and outcome of Vienna talks, as well as the situation in the Middle East in general.
They also discussed cooperation in trade, economy and investment, as well as in sectors of communications, information technology, infrastructure, energy and scientific research.
The Jordanian Monarch's visit to Spain is part of a tour that started in Austria and ends in Kosovo. (end) hnd.bs
