Nicaragua's Vice Pres. to visit Kuwait next week -- Amb. Hayat

KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- The Vice President of Nicaragua Moises Omar Halleslevens Acevedo will begin an official visit to Kuwait next week which would aim at boosting ties, Non-resident Ambassador to Nicaragua and Ambassador of Kuwait to Mexico Sameeh Johar Hayat said Thursday.
A statement by Hayat, obtained by KUNA, said that Nicaragua was eager to reinforce relations with Kuwait on all possible levels especially within the economic and political domains, adding that a number of deals and agreements are expected to be signed during Acevedo's meeting with top Kuwaiti officials.
Hayat said that Nicaragua was amongst the chief supporters of Kuwait in its bid to secure a non-permanent seat the UNSC for 2018-19.
He also noted that Kuwait was heavily invested in developing relations with Latin American countries especially through the contributions of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED).
Hayat pointed out that the first KFAED-funded project will be begin soon in the capital of Nicaragua, Managua, after the loan deal was signed back in October of 2014. (end) mjz.gta
