Sheikha Al-Zain calls for combating violence

KUWAIT, Nov 8 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah stressed the necessity of finding radical solutions to growing violence in the Kuwaiti society.
Sheikha Al-Zain made the remark Sunday while launching a campaign on ways to combat violence that was organized by Family Center for psychological and social counseling at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Kuwait University.
She said that the Kuwait University is the main platform in societal building as it creates leaders of the future, underling the key role of Faculty of Social Sciences in shedding light on societal issues and finding appropriate solutions to them.
Combating violence and addressing social problems contribute to developing society in all fields, she said, adding that human being in general and youth in particular are a main component of the society.
She said the ministry was keen on sponsoring the campaign and attending its session out of its key role in enhancing the values of tolerance and cooperation among the Kuwaiti youth and students as they are the country's future and a base of its renaissance.
The ministry contributes to evolving and supporting the Kuwaiti society by using advanced technology to cope with the latest developments across the globe so as to build a strong and coherent society for facing difficulties, she made clear.
Sheikha Al-Zain called for implementing concepts of dialogue, respecting others' opinions, disseminating the culture of tolerance and discarding violence in the Kuwaiti society, especially among youth. (end) asa.aas.hm
