Arab League blames int'l community for not protecting Palestinians

CAIRO, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby blamed Tuesday the international community and the UN Security Council for not providing the protection of Palestinian people.
Speaking at the league's extraordinary meeting of the level of the permanent delegates, Al-Araby said that the Palestinian people are facing organized terrorism by the Israeli occupation forces.
He denounced the escalating acts of the Israeli forces against sanctities, saying that "the violations committed by Israel are not only against Palestinians or the Arab countries but also against the temporary international system".
He urged the international community to assume its role by taking measures and actions against the organizations seeking to judaize Jerusalem, noting this is a flagrant challenge to the international laws and the will of the whole international community.
He also appealed to the international community to take measures in order to help Palestine establish its independent state with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
The league's chief also stressed the need to take measures aiming to ensure the safety of Palestinians inside all Palestinian territories occupied by the Israeli forces.
He urged the Security Council to force Israel to implement the resolution of international legitimacy and withdraw from the territories occupied in 1967.
Al-Araby also called on the Security Council to issue a resolution regarding providing the protection of the Palestinian people. (Pick up previous) msh.mfm.rg.hm
