GCC Executive Council 80th meeting kicks off in Jeddah

JEDDAH, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- The 80th session meeting of the Executive Council of the GCC Educational Bureau kick-started here on Tuesday.
State of Kuwait participated in the meeting with a delegation headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education Dr. Haitham Saleh Al-Ahari as well as members of the Executive Council, which includes members from the Ministries of Education in the GCC.
Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States Dr. Ali bin Abdulkhaliq Al-Qarni said during his opening speech that the Bureau's programs made advanced progress during its implementation stages as approved by the General Conference and the Executive Council.
Al-Qarni stressed the keenness of the bureau on quality standards saying that "the bureau has developed a system to follow up on its programs and projects through advanced electronic systems, installed with advanced technology." The agenda of the 80th session includes a number of topics such the second report on the progress of the office programs of the current financial year 2015-2016. These programs represent the first phase of the implementation strategy of the office during 2015-2020 -- adopted by the Ministers of Education in the Member States. (end) nh.ss
