Iranian parliament approves nuclear deal

TEHRAN, Oct 13 (KUNA) -- Iranian Majlis (parliament)t approved on Tuesday a bill on Iran's nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group.
The bill on the implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was approved with 161 votes in favor, 59 parliamentarians voted against and 13 abstained out of total 250 votes from the lawmakers who were present in the Majlis (parliament) today's open session.
The parliament approved on Sunday the bill broad lines, with 139 votes in favor, 100 against and 12 abstentions.
The nuclear treaty, signed in Vienna, Austria, last July, ended a standoff over Iran's nuclear file that lasted for 12 years. It curbs Iran's nuclear capabilities in return for relief of sanctions. (end) mv.ha
