ROME, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, head of the Motors Sport Club Sheikh Ahmad Al-Dawood Al-Sabah and Governor of San Marino, Italy, Nicola Renzi have opened San Marino Grand Prix that kicked off yesterday.
The Kuwaiti embassy in Rome said in a statement, on Thursday, Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Dawood opened the event upon an invitation from Renzi.
The Kuwaiti officials met with the participants and wished them success in the race. They also encouraged new racers to engage in this event where they can learn professional driving skills in a safe environment.
The two Kuwaiti officials thanked the Italian governor for the invitation.
Italy is hosting San Marino Grand Prix and Formula 1 this year. (end) mn.nfm
