Ban reiterates UN's commitment to continue search for Kuwaiti missing, archive

NEW YORK, Oct 2 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon reiterated the international organization's commitment to continue the search for Kuwaiti missing people in Iraq and the return of Kuwait's national archive.
Ban, during a meeting with First Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings Thursday night, commended Kuwait's constructive role vis-a-vis regional and international issues, particularly the humanitarian aspect.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled commended the UN's role in seeking solutions for world causes.
The meeting was attended by assistant foreign minister for the minister's office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah and Kuwait's permanent representative to the UN Mansour Al-Otaibi. (end) bs.mao
