MANAMA, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- The First Annual Gulf Healthcare Summit 2015 kicked off in Bahrain on Tuesday to discuss great challenges that face the health care sector among the GCC countries.
The three-day summit was opened under the patronage of the Bahraini Minister of Health Sadiq bin Abdulkarim Al-Shihabi.
In his opening speech, the minister said that holding networking events like this one where international and regional experts get together to discuss curtail matters is key to improve and promote services.
He added that this summit focuses on providing deep insights into healthcare, hospital administration and management life cycles. It particularly emphasizes the application of international best practices tailored to the Middle East market.
