LONDON, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby on Wednesday lauded the efforts of Kuwait's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Khaled Al-Duwaisan in promoting and pursuing all issues pertinent to the Arab world.
Al-Duwaisan was honored by the Arab League's office in the UK for his diligence in serving Arab interests.
The Arab League Secretary-General extolled Al-Duwaisan's efforts in prioritizing all issues pertaining to the Arab world and for bringing them to the forefront of world issues.
Al-Duwaisan expressed his gratitude for the honor, saying that it should serve as a further incentive for other Arab ambassadors.
"As ambassadors of the Arab world, it is imperative that we vigorously defend all issues related to our Arab and Islamic worlds," Al-Duwaisan added.
Al-Duwaisan has enjoyed a prolific diplomatic career with various honors and achievements. He is the longest-serving ambassador to the UK and was awarded the Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Award for his work in encouraging interfaith dialogue and counter-terrorism. (end) kd.nam
