KUWAIT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Tuesday discussed with a host of foreign ambassadors in Kuwait means of boosting media ties with their countries.
Sheikh Salman received separately in his office the ambassadors of Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the Philippines and Nepal, the Information Ministry said in a statement.
During his meeting with the Russian envoy Alexey Solomatin, the minister received an invitation to attend the 4th International Cultural Forum to be held in Saint Petersburg on December 14-16.
Sheikh Salman and Solomatin stressed deep-rooted bilateral ties and the necessity of promoting them, especially in the fields of media, culture and youth.
The minister and the Kazakh envoy to Kuwait Almas Abdramanov discussed a multitude of issues of common concern, focusing on media, culture and youth cooperation.
Receiving the Pakistani envoy Mohammad Aslam Khan, Sheikh Salman discussed bilateral media and cultural ties as well.
During his meetings with the Nepalese envoy Yagya Bahadur Hamal and Filipino ambassador Renato Pedro Villa, the minister discussed various media, cultural and youth issues of common concern. (end) has.msa
