Sheikha Aida Al-Sabah commends His Highness the Amir's humanitarian role

KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Chairperson of Board of Trustees of Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award, Sheikha Aida Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, said Tuesday Kuwait played a genuine humanitarian role worldwide.
She said the 1st anniversary of UN honoring of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a "Humanitarian Leader" and Kuwait as "Humanitarian Center," reflected Kuwait's leading philanthropic status.
Sheikha Aida, in a statement, said His Highness the Amir was helping all countries and all people, as well as supporting humanitarian issues and development projects regardless of ethnicity and faith.
His Highness the Amir, she added, hosted three donor conferences to help the Syrian people and announced contributions of USD millions to help those in need.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah is also keen on safeguarding the national unity of Kuwait.
Sheikha Aida said Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award launched, last September, an online platform to mark the international honoring of His Highness the Amir.
She called on the Kuwaiti people to boost values of humanity and national unity. (end) zak.bs
