KUWAIT, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim expressed condolences to parliament speakers of the UAE and Bahrain on the death of soldiers from the two countries while on duty during Operation Restoration of Hope in Yemen.
Al-Ghanim sent a cable of condolences to Mohammad Al-Murr, speaker of the UAE's National Council, on the martyrdom of 45 soldiers in Yemen.
He sent another cable to speaker of Bahrain's House of Representatives Ahmad Al-Mulla for the martyrdom of five Bahraini forces while defending Saudi Arabia's southern borders.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the leaderships and people of the UAE and Kingdom of Bahrain for the martyrdom of 45 UAE armed forces and five Bahrain Defense Force personnel," said Al-Ghanim.
The UAE and Bahrain are key partners in the Saudi-led Operation Restoration of Hope in Yemen. (end)
