Number of UAE soldiers killed in Yemen rises to 45 - statement

ABU DHABI, Sept 4 (KUNA) -- The number of UAE soldiers who were killed while on duty in Yemen has risen to 45 after 23 personnel died of their wounds, an official UAE statement said.
The statement was quoted by the official WAM news agency as saying that 23 soldiers died of their injuries rising the number of dead to 45.
The United Arab Emirates announced earlier in the day the death of 22 soldiers who were participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen.
His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah offered his condolences to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on the martyrdom of the UAE soldiers. (end) asa.bs
