MADRID, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced Thursday that the country's general elections will be held next December.
"Once the budget is approved, I will call elections. I can't tell you the exact date, but they will be in December" Rajoy said in a local radio interview. The process will probably start in the last ten days of the month, he added.
The 60 year-old official came into position on 21 December 2011 and is the leader of the conservative People's Party (PP) since 2004. Rajoy had executed prominent economic reforms and budget cuts to face the economic crisis in Spain. (end) hnd.ag
