KUWAIT, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)'s Economic and Petroleum Affairs Department released Thursday its 19th Q2 2015 petroleum report on local petroleum products marketing, international oil prices and gas pipeline transport.
The report is one of KUNA's regularly released specialized reports aiming to provide thorough information on the state's petroleum sector, said director of the department Awatef Al-Hasawi in a press statement.
The first chapter focuses on petroleum products marketing in Kuwait, she said, adding that Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has set a long-term plan to deal with the current growth of regional and international demands on these products.
As for the second chapter, Al-Hasawi noted that it tackles the recent developments in the international oil markets in Q2, the factors affecting prices including offer and demand, economic changes, political incidents and military operations mainly in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, the third chapter presents the growing attention towards using gas pipeline transport networks around the world between consumers and producers, in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol 1997, she said.
KUNA's Economic and Petroleum Affairs Department releases a petroleum report every four months and a comprehensive economic report on a half-year basis.(end) osj.ag
