WASHINGTON, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait has issued a safety warning to its citizens ahead of Tropical Storm Erika, expected to hit southeastern the United States within the next 24 hours.
Local forecasts are anticipating Erika to turn into a hurricane next Monday, August 31.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti embassy in Washington urged Kuwaiti students and travelers to adhere to the instructions of local authorities.
The embassy added that it is communicating directly with Kuwaitis located in the areas to be affected in an effort to ensure their safety and security, urging them to maintain this contact in order to ascertain their whereabouts.
