MILAN, Aug 23 (KUNA) -- Number of visitors of the Kuwaiti pavilion at the Expo Milan 2015 has exceeded 900,000, lured with the corner's unique features that constitute narrative of Kuwait's history and development.
The pavilion director, Fares Al-Enezi, told KUNA on Sunday that up to 11,152 people showed up at the Kuwaiti section on Saturday -- the first such record in a single day.
Such high turn-out is due to good planning, masterminded by the Minister of Information Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, added Al-Enezi, alluding to the publications and miniature structures that tell the story of the Kuwaitis who have succeeded in transforming their homeland into a modern state despite diverse challenges namely the desert harsh weather.
"We are nearing the one million figure," he said indicating that a special celebration would be held on the forecast event that may happen in the coming days, adding that awards will be distributed to participants, such as a travel ticket to Kuwait.
The Ministry of Information has put much of its resources at disposal of establishing the national pavilion at the ground of the international promotional event. (end) mjz.maa.rk
