Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah
KUWAIT, Aug 10 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's participation in the inauguration of Egypt's new Suez Canal was embodiment and culmination of the deep and strong bilateral ties, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Salman made the statement during a reception held by the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait on Monday on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Egypt's 1952 Revolution.
The State of Kuwait is proud of the Egyptian and Arab historical achievement of the New Suez Canal, he said, pointing to the deep-rooted bilateral ties in all fields.
He also thanked the embassy staff, led by ambassador Abdul-Karim Suleiman, for their efforts to enhance ties between the two countries.
For his part, ambassador Suleiman noted that celebration of the 1952 Revolution coincided with the inauguration of the new canal. (end)
