KUWAIT, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) ended Wednesday's session with the three main indices up thanks to selective buying of many leading and popular stocks, which increased liquidity on the market.
Despite the rise, profit-taking was dominated over a considerable part of the session, as speculations targeted stocks that were on the rise earlier this week.
Today's session saw deliberate movements by certain portfolios towards popular stocks, which speeded up rise of the three indices. Trading focused mainly on cheap shares, below 50 fils.
For the fourth session in a row, traders were in a state of expectancy, as major market makers were absent which opened the door for speculators.
Today's session closed with the Price index gaining 14.4 points to 6,238, while the Weighted Index inched up by 0.98 points and Kuwait-15, 3.77 points.
Value of traded shares reached KD 12 million, volume turnover some 139.8 million, done in 2,991 deals. (pick up previous) mka.ht.tb.msa
