Minister orders probe in suspected violations in Disabled Authority, 2 cooperatives

KUWAIT, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- A number of suspected financial and managerial violations at the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs and Al-Dasma and Bnaid Al-Gar Cooperative Socities were referred to the Public Anti-Corruption Authority (PACA) for investigation.
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Al-Sabeeh said in a press statement, on Sunday, that a number of financial and in-kind benefits were found undeserved. "This is considered a waste of public fund," Al-Sabeeh pointed out.
The minister also referred an indebtedness case of both Al-Dasma and Bnaid Al-Gar cooperative societies to PACA for scrutiny.
The two cooperative societies failed to repay a KD 7 million debt due to mismanagement. (end) mt.nfm
