Expo Milano cultural ministers' conf. condemn violence against int'l heritage

MILAN, Italy, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- Culture Ministers of the Expo Milano 2015 Conference have strongly condemned violence committed against international cultural hertiage.
Italian minister of culture Dario Franseschini said 83 ministers and other participants approved the Milano Declaration which emphasized importance of preserving the world's cultural heritage.
They called for commitment to mutual respect and tolerance in order to strengthen dialogue among peoples, he said of the declaration.
The ministers called on the international community to protect cultural heritage of countries suffering of natural disasters.
Franseschini expressed gratitude for the participants in this "exceptional event," aimed at promoting Italy's cultural status.
Kuwait was represented by its Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Sabah on behalf of Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs. (end) mn.bs
