Palestinians seek UNSC resolution condemning Jewish settlers' terror acts

RAMALLAH, Aug 1 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian leadership decided to contact Arab countries to draft a UN Security Council (UNSC) resolution that would condemning the Jewish settlers' crimes and acts of terrorism, as well as settlement expansion.
The leadership, in a statement following its meeting in Ramallah Friday evening, said it would contact the Arab countries including Jordan, UNSC's Arab member, and Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby to table the draft resolution.
It will also ask UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to establish a special protection system for the Palestinian people, as well as refer the arson attack against the Dawabsheh family to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The leadership said it would boost the peaceful resistance against the terrorist acts committed by the Israeli government-backed Jewish settlers.
Today's meeting followed an arson attack against a house in Nablus that killed a Palestinian toddler and wounded his family. (pickup previous) nq.bs
