KUWAIT, July 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwait signed a KD five million (USD 17 million) loan agreement with Benin to develop the country's health sector, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) announced Friday.
The loan will go toward the construction of Tchaourou regional hospital and six other health centers.
KFAED said in a press statement that the loan will help support and develop the health sector in Benin, especially in Tchaourou district by providing the necessary infrastructure as well as medical equipment and services.
The loan agreement was signed by Benin's Minister of Finance Komi Koutche and KFAED Deputy Director General Hamad Al-Omar and KFAED Regional Director for West African countries Thamer Al-Failakawi. (end) fnk.nfm
