KUWAIT, July 31 (KUNA)

1986 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued an Amiri Decree to dissolve the Municipal Council.
1990 -- Saudi Arabia hosted Kuwait's Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Hihgness Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and Iraq's Deputy Chairman of the Revolutionary Command Ezzet Ibrahim in Jeddah to resolve a dispute, ignited by Iraq when it accused Kuwait of stealing its oil. Iraq abandoned talks two hours after commencement.
1994 -- The Cabinet approved amendment of the first article of the civil law to conform to Islamic jurisprudence provisions.
2006 -- The National Assembly approved, in an extraordinary session, the draft law on the Amiri grant of KD 200 for every citizen. (end) gta
