Kuwait finances Mosque in Serbian city

KUWAIT, July 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait handed a sum of euro 20,000 to the representatives of the Muslim community in Serbia to build a Mosque in the city of Bor east of the country, said a statement by the embassy Wednesday.
In a statement acquired by KUNA, Ambassador Yousef Abdulsamad said the leading figures expressed gratitude towards this generous offering, affirming that the Kuwaiti embassy in Belgrade has played a pivotal role in helping Muslims in Serbia.
The donation was granted on part of the Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (RHIS), a charitable NGO based in Kuwait, with branches in various countries. (end) rg.gta
