Saif Al-Gaddafi amongst 9 people sentenced to death in Tripoli

TRIPOLI, July 28 (KUNA) -- The court of appeal in the Libyan capital sentenced Tuesday nine individuals from the former Gaddafi regime to death including Saif Al-Islam Al-Gaddafi.
A source at the public prosecution told KUNA that the nine individuals will be executed by shooting, adding that amongst the people sentenced to death were former head of intelligence Abdullah Senussi and former Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmudi.
The court held 20 sessions since March of 2013 in which Saif Al-Islam attended three video in-closed trials.
The defendants faced many chargers including murder, theft, and other acts of sabotage committed during the war in Libya. (end) nem.gta
