CAIRO, July 28 (KUNA) -- Al-Azhar University condemned Tuesday the continuous Israeli violation and desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling for measures to protect the grand Islamic monument.
A statement by Al-Azhar also asked for the protection of worshipers at the Mosque, whom Israel continues harass and humiliate.
Israel's insistence on carrying out its unjust policies will further escalate the situation and lead to more violence, said Al-Azhar which urged the international community to step in and stop Israel. (end)
