KEPS organized a coordination meeting with the Director of Environment Police Department
KUWAIT, July 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS) and the Interior Ministry's Environmental Police will coordinate on monitoring violations against the environment in Kuwait, said a statement here Tuesday.
KEPS's Secretary General Wejdan Al-Eqab told KUNA that she had met with the head of the environmental police Lieut-General Hussein Al-Ajmi, discussing with him the society's initiative to report violations to the police.
She added that KEPS proposed a measure to categories environmental violations and ways to report the issue to the environmental police.
The Interior Ministry established the environmental police unit which came to implement the 42/2014 legislation on protecting the environment. (end)
