Arab League chief strongly condemns Diyala terrorist attack

CAIRO, July 18 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby Saturday condemned in the strongest terms the car bomb attack in the Iraqi province of Diyala killing and wounding over 200 people.
Al-Araby, in a statement, condemned the targetting of civilians which was forbidden by God.
These terrorist acts, he said, "require a serious Arab, regional and international action to eliminate the terrorist groups." The car bomb attack, claimed by ISIL and struck Khan Bani Saad suburb in Diyala, killed 100 people dead and 140 others injured, while 20 persons were missing.
Al-Araby expressed complete solidarity with Iraq in its fight against terrorism. (end) rg.bs
