RAMALLAH, July 14 (KUNA) -- More than 350,000 worshipers conducted their prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque Monday evening, Palestinian Islamic Endowment (Waqf) in Jerusalem said.
In a statement, the Waqf said that Jerusalem witnessed "unprecedented" numbers of Palestinians arriving in Jerusalem from different regions.
Thousands arrived from the West Bank late afternoon yesterday amid Israeli military measures imposed in the city and its surroundings.
The Israeli army did not allow the entrance of hundreds of Palestinians under the age of 50 into the city, however allowed 800 Palestinian worshipers coming from Gaza Strip.
It also forced dozens to climb the separation wall between the West Bank from Jerusalem to reach the Al-Aqsa Mosque. (end) nq.mb
