Iraqi security forces kill over 100 ISIL militants in Anbar

BAGHDAD, July 8 (KUNA) -- Over 100 militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) were killed by Iraqi security forces' air raids that targeted the group's sites in the Western Anbar province, security sources said Tuesday.
A missile strike targeted an ISIL's parade in Umm Thoweil area in Anbar, killing and wounding over 100 militants, a security source in Al-Jazeera and Al-Badiya Operations stated to KUNA, noting that full-detailed reports on the strike outcomes are to be issued later.
Meanwhile, Iraqi air force jets launched a heavy strike on a large ISIL nest in Barwana area in Haditha District, killing 18 militant and wounding a significant number of others, military media cell announced in a statement.
The statement also noted that 23 ISIL militants were killed today in an attack that is part of Fajr Al-Karma Operation, adding that the attack also destroyed a number of nests and car-bombs. (end) mhg.ma
