No new proposals by Greece as yet - Dijsselbloem

BRUSSELS, July 7 (KUNA) -- Eurozone finance ministers met their new Greek colleague Euclid Tsakalotos during an extraordinary meeting here Tuesday and listened to his assessment of the situation after the NO vote in Sunday's referendum in Greece.
"There were no new proposals at this point by the Greek minister," Jeroen Dijsselbloem, President of the Eurogroup, told journalists after the meeting.
The Greek government will send to the Eurogroup a new request letter for ESM (the permanent EU bailout fund) support "and as soon as that comes in, hopefully tomorrow morning, we will have another conference call for the Eurogroup to formally start the process of dealing with this request," Dijsselbloem stated.
He noted that he will ask the institutions, the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund, to look into the financial situation in Greece.
"And then the institutions will come back to us and we will see if we formally can start the negotiations. All this has to be done in a matter of days. We have very little time," he added. (end) nk.gb
