KSE indices maintain downward trend

KUWAIT, July 5 (KUNA) -- Three main indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) dropped by 0.3 points reaching level of 6,181 points in early trades on Sunday, while the weighted index edged down by 0.82 points. Likewise Kuwait-15, shedding 3.05 points.
Value of traded shares reached some KD one million, while volume turnover some 6.12 million stocks, done in 171 deals.
The KSE continued to record collective losses for the third week -- the past week -- in a row amid continuation of speculative trading and traders' reluctance, an economic report released on Saturday said.
The indices of daily trading remained weak although they recorded growth during the past week, compared to last week, said the report released by Bayan Investment Company.
KSE market capitalization the past week reached KD 28.05 billion, down by 0.66 percent, compared with the week before, while the market capitalization of the KSE-listed company rose by 0.26 percent compared to 2014. (A KD = USD 3.3). (end) hm.rk
