Iraqi pres. says national reconciliation promotes efforts to face risks

BAGHDAD, July 4 (KUNA) -- Iraqi President Fuad Masum said Saturday that the real national reconciliation would promote efforts aiming to face risks.
Among necessary requirements to pass this period is to make a real national reconciliation so as to support democracy, construction and progress which were delayed due to terrorism, he said during a speech in the 34th anniversary of Badr Organization.
The national reconciliation will work on strengthening the country's interior front, he added.
Masum called for legislations aiming to face the financial crisis the country is witnessing.
He underlined the importance of enhancing joint action among MPs to help issue key legislations that boost the national economy as it faces serious challenges due to lower oil prices.
The organization was established in 1982 and was the military wing opposing to the former Iraqi regime. (end) mhg.hm
