Six mln people visited Expo Milan 2015 since inauguration

ROME, July 3 (KUNA) -- At least six million people have so far visited the Expo Milan 2015 since its inauguration in May.
Commissioner of the Government of Italy for Expo Milano 2015 Giuseppe Sala welcomed the high turnout of visitors, saying this proves that people are interested in the Expo 2015 theme, "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", and enjoy varied pavilions of the participating countries that make up 94 percent of the world's population.
He expected that the number of visitors will increase in the upcoming months, noting that the largest number of visitors came from Switzerland, France, Germany, the United States and China.
The Expo's management anticipates that the number of visitors will rise to 20 million coming from Italy and all over the world to tour inside this universal event which includes pavilions of 145 countries. Kuwait's pavilion has attracted so far at least 500,000 visitors.
The expo is a universal event that Milan, Italy, is hosting from May 1 to October 31, 2015. The event will give everyone the opportunity to find out about, and taste, the world's best dishes, while discovering the best of the agri-food and gastronomic traditions of each of the exhibitor countries.
