GCC chief condemns Houthis' raid on Al-Mansour neighrhood

RIYADH, July 2 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdulatif Al-Zayani strongly condemned here on Thursday the "dreadful crime committed by Houthis militants in randomly raiding Al-Mansour neighborhood in Aden city on Wednesday, which resulted in the death and injury of tens of innocent people." He added in press remarks that such systematic attacks launched by Houthis' militants on the armless citizens especially in Aden and Taiz cities are considered "heinous crimes which are incompatible with the principles of the Islamic religion and prohibited by international laws".
He expressed his disapproval of Aden's siege, calling on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to immediately halt such violations, and work to implement its resolution number 2216.
He offered his condolences to the families of the victims and to the Yemeni people and their legitimate government, wishing the injured quick healing and wellness. (end) yms.lb
