Arab League condemns terrorist attacks in Kuwait, Tunisia

CAIRO, June 29 (KUNA) -- The permanent delegates to the Arab League condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Kuwait and Tunisia during the League's emergency meeting held here on Monday.
The delegates expressed their full support to the two countries, along with the UAE whose humanitarian aid team was attacked in Somalia, and Egypt whose public prosecutor Hisham Barakat was killed earlier today.
Jordan supports the terror-struck countries by all means, said head of the meeting and Jordanian Ambassador to Egypt Beshir Al-Khasawneh in his opening speech.
The Jordanian diplomat also called on the Arab League to take measures to fight terrorism and support the attacked countries.
For his part, Secretary General of the League Nabil Al-Araby on his part, said that the meeting aims to discuss the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Kuwait, Tunisia, Somalia and Egypt.
Al-Araby also condemned the criminal acts, noting that these terrorist groups are targeting the unity and stability in the region.
Moreover, he pointed to a proposal approved in the League's last summit in Sharm El-Sheikh in Egypt for establishing a joint Arab force as part of cooperation in the fight against all terrorist groups in the region. (end) ms.mfm.rg.ag
