Amiri Diwan Min. mourns mosque blast victims

KUWAIT, June 27 (KUNA) -- Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah mourned Saturday the victims of the blast that targeted Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Kuwait City during Friday Prayers.
Condemning the attack, Sheikh Nasser, in a press statement called on all Kuwaitis to be aware of the sedition that targets the country's stability, unity and security, and seeks to drive a wedge among all segments.
"Our national unity is a red line that can never be tampered with," he said, warning of the heinous terrorist plot that targets the State of Kuwait and its people.
"Our fate is to offer martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the dear homeland. We can never forget the martyrs," Sheikh Nasser, who is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Martyr Office, said.
The Martyr Office will take care of the families of the victims, he noted, offering, on behalf of the office's staff, condolences to them and wishing those injured speedy recovery.
At least 27 people were killed and 227 others wounded in the blast that took place inside the mosque Friday. (end) akw.abd.hm
