His Highness Sheikh Nasser condemns the Imam Al-Sadiq attack

KUWAIT, June 26 (KUNA) -- His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah underlined on Friday that the blast at the Imam |Al-Sadiq Mosque earlier today was a "cowardly and treacherous act" that targetted the unity of the Kuwaiti people.
Sheikh Nasser in a statement to KUNA expressed confidence that His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and his government members would stand firm against the repercussions of this heinous crime and able to remedy its traits.
"This crime against the worshippers during the muslim holy month of Ramadan is a coward act against the unity of the peaceful people of Kuwait", Sheikh Nasser said, expressing confindence that the Kuwaitis would stand by their leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince during this crisis.
He extended condolences to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince and families of the victims.
At least 27 people were killed and 227 others injured in a blst at the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in downtown Kuwait city during the Friday noon prayer. (end) tm.bz
