Mosque blast "terrorist, criminal act" -- Islamic Affairs Min.

KUWAIT, June 26 (KUNA) -- The blast that hit Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque in Al-Sawaber, Kuwait city, on Friday is a "terrorist and criminal act that threatens our security and targets our national unity," Minister of Justice and Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaacoub Al-Sanea said.
Al-Sanea told KUNA in the aftermath that the government would take a multitude of precautionary measures to provide further protection to places of worship.
He also stressed that Kuwait would always remain an oasis of security and safety.
Earlier, the Ministry of Interior announced that several worshipers were killed and others injured in the blast during the afternoon Friday prayer. (end) gy.abd.msa
