AMMAN, June 10 (KUNA) -- Up to 76 Syrian regime troops have been killed in the opposition attacks that targeted bases of the Syrian Army's Brigade 52 in Deraa province, according to the opposition media.
Syria Mubasher (Direct) news agency, in a report on Wednesday, confirmed that opposition factions had taken full control of positions of the army's second largest brigade, situated on outskirts of Al-Herak town in Deraa's eastern countryside. The positions had been overrun in eight hours of fighting only, it said.
The brigade, armed with a large arsenal of cannons, tanks and diverse types of rockets, had regularly launched deadly missile and artillery attacks on regions under the opposition control in the governorate. (end) tk.rk
