(WITH DIWAN-KUWAIT-AMIR-BAHRAIN) MANAMA, June 9 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met on Tuesday with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Issa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa holding cordial talks depicting depth of the brotherly bilateral relations between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Highness the Amir and the Monarch discussed means of cementing the relations "in a manner that serves mutual interests within framework of the historic ties for sake of realizing aspirations of the GCC peoples." They also examined the GCC march, the joint GCC action, various regional and international affairs.
Ahead of the meeting, His Highness the Amir was accorded a formal reception at Al-Sukhair Palace in Manama. Following the talks, the King held a luncheon in honor of His Highness the Amir and the accompanying officials.
Earlier in the day, His Highness the Amir, heading a broad delegation of top officials, arrived in Manama, starting the brotherly visit to the Kingdom.
His Highness the Amir was received upon arrival at the airport by King Hamad Bin Issa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the Prime Minister, Prince Salman Bin Hamad al-Khalifa, the Crown Prince, and other senior officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
