AMMAN, May 30 (KUNA) -- At least 24 militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) were killed late Friday by the US-led coalition airstrikes near an oilfield in al-Dweir Desert located between southeast of al-Mayadin and west of al-Bo Kamal in Deir Ezzor, according to a monitoring group.
The coalition warplanes targeted a boarding militants, killing 24; most of them were nationals of East Asian countries. The militants' bodies have become charred, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a statement late Friday. (end)
