Some 30 killed in clashes across Syria - reports

AMMAN, May 30 (KUNA) -- The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that 30 people, including civilians and armed rebels, were killed due to clashes and explosive barrel shelling across districts in Syria.
Army jets dropped explosive barrels on Al-Bu Omar in Deir Al-Zour killing six civilians - a man, his wife and four children. Meanwhile, ISIL members carried out a raid on a nearby town where they abducted eight people, who were taken to unknown destination.
In Ariha, Idlib, six Islamic Battalion members were killed by Syrian government forces and gunmen loyal to their cause after the province was taken over by the group and its allies, who call themselves the Army of Conquest or Jaish Al-Fatah, including the Al-Nusra Front and others.
Army jets also bombarded several towns and districts across Idlib, which killed two men and a child and injured other people.
In Aleppo, clashes continue between the moderate and Islamic opposition rebels, on the one hand, and ISIL on the other in the northeastern Aleppo Countryside, leading to the killing of three of the rebels and seven ISIL members.
Meanwhile, dozens held protests in a Damascus town after Friday prayers calling for opposition factions to unite under one banner.
They held up banners urging to follow in the footsteps of Jaish Al-Fatah after its recent takeover of Idlib from government forces. (end) tk.sd
